On Wednesday 10 October, from 14:30 to 18:30, the Committee on Constitutional Affairs will hold an ICM entitled "State of the debate on the future of Europe". The main aim of this ICM is to allow MEPs and MPs to discuss together in view to assess institutional and political evolutions that have followed the adoption of Parliaments resolutions of 16 February 2017, on "Improving the functioning of the European Union building on the potential of the Lisbon Treaty" (Bresso/Brok report), and on "Possible evolutions of and adjustments to the current institutional set-up of the EU" (Verhofstadt report) and on "Budgetary capacity for the euro area" (Böge/Berès report), taking stock of the different proposals recently presented by relevant institutions and Member States and thus preparing European Parliament's priorities concerning current debate on the future of Europe.
