Inclusion in Society by the Arts (ISA) is a European project that aims to rethink the place of persons with disabilities in our societies and the role civil society has to play in their inclusion. Six organisations from around Europe form the partnership, their goal is to develop an inclusive methodology in line with the UN CRPD principles to produce empowering artistic and cultural activities, on the ground, together with persons with disabilities.
The project will develop among others 1) a guide on promising practices in inclusion through art 2) a guide to support teachers in ‘art as inclusive pedagogy’; and 3) a toolbox for cultural centres and support service providers.
Join us on the 3rd October 2019 for a practitioners round table where we will learn more about the ISA project and its deliverables and gather service providers, schools and cultural centres for 3 interactive sessions focused on the barriers and challenges they face. Each group will be able to explain their challenges and support the others with theirs.
