As mediation has become more acceptable as a different way to solve disputes, this lecture will explore first what is needed for mediation in criminal cases and challenges during the mediation itself.

It will then demonstrate how mediation in criminal cases work in practice using real case studies.

Pascal Comvalius MSc is an IMI-Certified Mediator and a Certified Crisis Negotiator. Pascal practices and teaches mediation, crisis negotiation and credibility analysis in the USA, Europe, Middle East and Asia. He is the former vice-president of the Academy of Professional Family Mediators USA and is the current chair of the IMI appraisal committee.
