European Public Health Alliance: Annual Conference

 The conference will gather high level speakers and thought leaders to engage in a constructive debate on how to create a more equitable health-promoting environment to encourage better governance for health in EU policy-making.

The conference will be composed of different panels, discussing issues such as:

• What has the EU done for public health in the decade since Health in all Policies (HiaP) was launched?

• Is HiaP compatible with REFIT? (The European Commission’s Regulatory Fitness and Performance Programme.)

• What should the EU do for public health in the next decade?

Guest speakers will include:

• Dr Vytenis Andriukaitis, European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety

• Professor Ilona Kickbusch, Director of the Global Health Programme at the Graduate Institute of International and Developlment Studies, Geneva

• Professor Martin McKee, President of the European Public Health Association (EUPHA)
