The event on Digital Service Platforms will take place against the background of the Commission's consultation on online platforms. Organized in the format of an expert workshop, it will contribute to an informed debate on the appropriate regulatory environment for online platforms.

Our speakers will also discuss how to best conceptualize and define platforms in an economy that has largely moved digital. This debate will also address the role and importance of competition rules as an ex post enforcement tool relevant to the debate on online platforms.
