"LAUGHING TO DEATH" - An homage to Charlie Hebdo

One year after the Charlie Hebdo attacks, Stelios Kouloglou MEP with SYRIZA, GUE/NGL MEP and Martin Sonneborn Non-attached MEP, are organizing an international homage to Charlie Hebdo, dedicated to the freedom of expression, humour and political satire. The event will be covered by media not only in Belgium but in the rest of Europe as well. 

Prominent international guests will take part in the panel discussion: 

-Andy Bichlbaum, from the famous satirical performance activist duo “The Yes Men” 

-Maryse Wollinski, wife ofthe assassinated Charlie Hebdo cartoonist, Georges Wolinski 

-Pierre Kroll, Belgian cartoonist, followed by a short screening of an extract taken from his stand-up comedy show during the “Festival du Rire 2015” in Liege 

During the event there will be a short screening of a rare and unpublished interview of the late Charlie Hebdo cartoonist, Charb, which Stelios Kouloglou took personally some time before his assassination, as well as a full screening of the latest Yes Men film “Yes Men Are Revolting”
