The European Council engages in crisis management when Europe faces crises of different types (ranging from the global financial crisis to foreign policy crises such as the Ukraine, or the on-going refugee crisis). This roundtable looks at the strengths and weaknesses of the European Council's approaches and working methods in times of crisis, the challenges it faces, the role of its President and other related issues.
