BCCB
Date: Thursday, 04 February 2016 18:00 - 19:30

Venue: British Chamber of Commerce in Belgium  |  City: Bruxelles

The Centre for European Reform and Pro Europa will be holding a discussion that will consider Westminster and Brussels perspectives on British membership in the EU and the possible impact of the ongoing ‘renegotiation’ on the outcome of the UK referendum.

The panel will consist of:

  • Julie Smith, baroness of Newnham; senior lecturer, department of politics and international studies, University of Cambridge
  • Charles Grant, director, Centre for European Reform
  • Tom Nuttall, Charlemagne columnist, The Economist

The panelists will build on recent CER research into the UK Parliament's oversight of EU policy and how national governments are reacting to David Cameron's EU reform proposals. The discussion will be moderated by Martin Bailey, chair of Pro Europa, and the event will be hosted at the British Chamber of Commerce in Belgium.

Drinks will be served from 17:30, with the discussion taking place from 18:00-19:30. Spaces will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
