About the EEPLIANT project:

The EEPLIANT project, organised between 2015 - 2017, was designed to help deliver the intended economic and environment benefits of the Energy Labelling and Ecodesign Directives by verifying and increasing the rates of product compliance with them.

The EEPLIANT project team, consisting of 13 Market Surveillance Authorities from across the EU, organises coordinated monitoring, verification and enforcement activities, including product testing of LED lamps, printers and heaters.

In addition, the project ensures the cooperation of national market surveillance authorities, sparing the best practice, achieving a common approach to individual surveillance policies and requirements.

EEPLIANT final conference:

What are the key issues in ensuring products such as the light bulbs, heaters or printers do not consume more energy then prescribed by the legislation and claimed by the manufacturer?

EEPLIANT findings and achievements will be presented at the project’s final conference, which will take place on June 20, 2017 in Brussels at the offices of PROSAFE, the project coordinator. Key stakeholders involved in the event are the national market surveillance authorities, European stakeholders and the European Commission.
