You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless EU Events, its partners, sponsors, users, supporters and team from and against any and all claims, liabilities, penalties, settlements, judgments, fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from (i) any content that you or anyone using your account may submit, post or transmit to the web site; (ii) your use of the Services; (iii) your violation of the terms of these Terms and Conditions; and (iv) any violation or failure by you to comply with all laws and regulations in connection with the Services.
  6. EU Events is not responsible for the following acts and as such are obviously forbidden on the EU Events website and social media pages and groups:
    • racism, xenophobia, negationism and discrimination or any propagation thereof;
    • slander, defamation, stalking, insulting, abuse of name or image, breach of trust;
    • infringements of intellectual or other property. It is forbidden to disturb the public order on the website. This means that spamming, transmitting unsolicited advertising via private or public messages, the act of repeatedly and unlawfully reloading pages, flooding or placing excessively long texts, etc., may be prosecuted;
    • hacking or attempted hacking of the Mediahuis Group website is prohibited and will be punished;
    • violation of public decency, publication of pornographic images, paedophilia and the public offering of prostitution or escort services.

  10. EU Events has the right to suspend, cancel or deny your free subscription to the website service for uploading events anytime without assigning any cause or reason for it.
  11. Your subscription to the website might include subscription to the Newsletter, under the rules detailed in the dedicated paragraph below. EU Events may amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time with no prior communication.

Submission of events

According to its mission, EU Events will reject the publication on the website of events who:

  1. Are NOT taking place in Brussels
  2. Are NOT sufficiently detailed
  3. Do NOT show any clear link with EU-policies and/or European culture, as well as those of EU member and neighbouring states
  4. Do NOT respect these Terms and Conditions

Such decisions are entirely up to EU Events and cannot be questioned.

If EU Events accepts an event, it will be published on the website within 48 hours.

Visibility of past events

EU Events will progressively archive all the events published. For the period 2014-2017 they can be shared upon request at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., although EU Events reserves the right to refuse such requests. 

Privacy

No personal information is requested to browse the website.

Any personal information is exclusively requested for the purpose of the submission of events and of the registration to our newsletters and special releases, as well as for the information form and the uploading of your own events. If you do not provide the information requested, you may not be able to receive the newsletters or send any query or upload any event.

EU Events might use your personal information for specific marketing campaign and activities.

EU Events will not communicate / spread / publish / sell or otherwise give away your email address and/or any personal details to any third party service or any marketing service provider.

EU Events may use your information to:

  • Process a payment that you have made;
  • Notify you of changes to our services;
  • Send you communications which you have requested and that may be of interest to you. These may include information about events, update on European Affairs, research opportunities, promotions of third organisations’ services.

Third Party Service Providers working on our behalf

We may pass your information to our third-party service providers, agents subcontractors and other associated organisations for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services to you on our behalf (for example to process payments and send you mailings). Before subscribing to our Newsletter service, please read the following terms and conditions carefully.

  5. You could also receive information on the progress of our activities, as well as information on our new partners and sponsors.
  6. You will also receive information on our sponsored events and on specific subjects, campaigns and activities happening in Brussels or abroad, here included webinars and trainings, including special releases on specific events or event organisers.
