Innovation in NCD prevention for young people

EHMA is pleased to invite you to join a session on “Innovation in NCDs prevention for young people”, taking place on Thursday, 11th October 2018 from 15.00 to 16.30 at The Office in Brussels, Belgium.

According to WHO data, each year 15 million people aged from 30 to 69 die from NonCommunicable Diseases (NCDs). Cardiovascular diseases account for most NCD deaths – specifically for 17.9 million people annually, followed by cancers (9.0 million); respiratory diseases (3.9million); and diabetes (1.6 million).

The session will draw the attention to NCDs through presentations of case studies from three European countries: Hungary, Poland and Romania. The presentations, delivered by Ministries of Health representatives, will identify the state of the art in NCDs prevention, and will be followed by a panel debate involving five specialists representing different areas of healthcare: namely, healthcare professionals; industry; policy; academia; and patients.

Join the session and have your say in this interesting debate on NCDs prevention!
