They reduce costs, increase investment security, and provide the partners within the project with an information lead on future market requirements. The results of standardization activities are made publicly available, thereby promoting their dissemination and broad application. Thus, standardization functions as a catalyst for innovation by enhancing the transfer of research results into marketable products and ensuring market access.
