The Committee of the Regions in partnership with the European Commission (EC), under the Joint Technical Platform for Cooperation on the Environment, is organising a conference to present and discuss the two upcoming guidance documents by the European Commission, "Ecosystems and their services in decision-making" and "Strategic EU level green and blue infrastructure".

After a presentation of these guidances by the EC, three breakout discussions will each focus on a main thematic component of the guidances to provide feedback from different perspectives on their key aspects, tools and follow-up needs. The outcome will be the identification of improvements for the guidances, as well as the formulation of suggestions towards a better use of the guidances by European, national and local decision-makers.

A panel of three CoR members will then highlight their impressions from the breakout discussions and a takeaway message.
