On October 11th between 17.00 and 22.00 history comes to life for the visitors’ delight at the House of European History.
On that day, visitors will encounter costumed actors in the galleries from Experience the Past, who will recreate atmospheres, dialogues and situations from the past. They play historical characters, famous or unknown, who are witnesses of the tumultuous events of the 19th and 20th centuries in Europe. The activity takes place in French, Dutch and English at regular intervals in certain sections of the permanent exhibition.
Visitors can also enter the photo studio installed by "Oiseaux sans tête", in the middle of the playful ‘Interactions’ exhibition space especially for this evening. Using fun retro accessories they create their own scene in an old-fashioned living room. A photographer immortalises them and they can then leave with visual evidence of their journey to the past. This is a non-stop activity. Participants are invited to fill in an authorisation form clarifying the use of their photo when they enter.
