Date: Thursday, 11 October 2018 09:00 - 14:00

Venue: Palais des Académies

Biogas plays an important role in the current energy transition. It is a green gas which provides flexible and secure energy supplies to reach the recently agreed 32% renewable energy target in final European energy consumption by 2030. But the opportunities of this resource need to be fully unlocked.

With this objective in mind, the partners of the Biogas Action project would like to invite you to a half-day conference that will look at the opportunities and challenges of the biogas sector in Europe. This will be the occasion to present the results of the project which started in 2016.

Biogas Action was carried out to boost the potential of biogas as a renewable energy by increasing the biogas and biomethane production in EU territories, removing the non-technical barriers to create better frameworks for the widespread production of biogas and biomethane. This collaborative initiative involves several EU regions and takes into account different policy perspectives (European, national and regional).

Don’t miss the chance to meet a dynamic consortium of biogas partners, together with EU policy-makers, local representatives and other stakeholders. Join us to learn from an inspiring biogas overview that will unveil the project achievements and the recommendations to unlock the potential of biogas in Europe.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 691755.
