In this event, we are going to present and discuss the main findings and conclusions of the European research project SOPHIE and their implications for policy. We have generated new evidence on the health impacts of policies that shape people's living circumstances, including macroeconomics (economic cycles, fiscal policies), social protection (unemployment benefits, family policies), labour market (active labour market policies, employment relations), built and social environment (urban renewal, urban planning, neighbourhood safety), housing (housing systems, social accommodations, building retrofitting), gender equity and immigrant integration.
