Building Bridges to Business: What Makes a Successful Knowledge Alliances Bid?

Regional and Local Affairs

Date: Monday, 06 July 2015 14:00

Venue: Wales House  |  City: Ville de Bruxelles

Knowledge Alliances (KAs) are the flagship initiative of the EC aimed at removing barriers to collaboration in high-priority areas of the economy by inciting a closer working relationship between Universities and businesses. It is hoped that KAs will play an integral part in developing knowledge and will be equally advantageous both to industry and academia. Bids are to be made under the Erasmus+ Programme, the requirement in each application being that two HEIs and two companies from at least three EU member states are involved.

Given the extremely competitive nature of the programme with only a limited number of funding allocations available, this workshop will provide a vital insight into what exactly constitutes a strong KA bid. Key recommendations will be put forward to boost chances of submitting a successful application, where stakeholders and practitioners from both Enterprise and HE will come together to exchange views and liaise with potential collaboration partners.
