The president of the Provincial Court of Girona, Miquel Noguer, and the representative of the Government of Catalonia to the EU, Meritxell Serret, will open the exhibition "Carles Rahola. A republican life", which highlights the life of Carles Rahola as an example of democratic fight.

The execution of Carles Rahola on the 15th March 1939 by Franco's troops is one of the most traumatic episodes from the contemporary Girona. After eighteen years, this fact continues to eclipse the life course of Carles Rahola, who stood out as a journalist, historian and cultural activist.

Toward the end of this gathering, a tasting will be offered with products recognized with the quality label Girona Excel·lent.
