ORDRE DU JOUR ET INSCRIPTION

Javier Gomez and Mercedes Acitores Franzon, project officers at the INTERREG MED secretariat will present the new structure of the 2014-2020 programme and the content of the 2015 calls, which ware launched on 23 June 2015 in Marseille.

The presentation will be followed by an example of a successful INTERREG MED project.

Financed by the European Union Regional and Development Fund, the MED programme allows to tackle territorial challenges beyond national boundaries, such as green growth, reduction of Green House Gas emissions, increase energy efficiency, promotion of renewable energy and tackling environmental consequences of climate change.

For 2014-2020 the programme will make available €265 Mio  to finance transnational projects in the Mediterranean area, with a co-financing rate of up to 85% of the total budget of the project.

Please note: THE INTERREG MED programme is open to partners from the Mediterranean area (see list of eligible countries and regions here). Entities from outside the Mediterranean  area are also eligible for funding, provided that their participation is well justified for the purpose of the project (only up to 20% of the total budget).
