Public roundtable & reception: The post-#MeToo era in Europe

Two years after the international outburst of the #MeToo movement, which unveiled countless stories and instances of sexual harassment in the workplace and beyond, Equinet and UN Human Rights Europe invite you to a roundtable on the state of play of the fight against sexual harassment in Europe.

Roundtable panelists will include:
• Jeanne Ponté – Initiator of the #MeTooEP movement
• Dagmar Schumacher – Director of the Brussels Office of UN Women
• Joanna Maycock - Secretary General of the European Women's Lobby
• Chidi King – Director of the Equality Department of ITUC, the International Trade Union Confederation
• Anaida Dibra – President of Professional Women International Brussels - PWI Brussels
• Angela Marcos Figueruelo – case handler on sexual harassment of the European Ombudsman

It will be moderated by Birgit Van Hout, UN Human Rights Regional Representative for Europe (OHCHR)

Join equality bodies from across Europe, high level representatives from international organisations, trade unions and civil society, to discuss the impact of #MeToo movement in Europe and the steps to be taken to make the fight against sexual harassment a political priority and a policy reality.

The roundtable will take place from 19h to 20h30.
Doors will open at 18.30 with a welcome drink and you are invited to a dinner after the roundtable to continue the exchange of views with other participants!
