Throughout the year, the European Brain Council hosts networking receptions in an effort to bring together the health and brain research community in Brussels and beyond in order to meet, exchange thoughts and ideas and encourage continued collaboration. The evening brings together key stakeholders from EBC's membership (scientific societies, patient organisations, professional societies and industry partners), the EU institutions, member state representatives, academia, NGOs and other Brussels-based organisations working in the relevant fields.

A non-profit organisation based in Brussels, EBC's main mission is to promote brain research with the ultimate goal of improving the lives of the estimated 179 million Europeans living with brain conditions, mental and neurological alike.

Most receptions carry a theme and some included invited guest speakers on the subject. This final reception of the year's theme is "how could the Horizon Europe programme support brain research and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals on healthy lives and wellbeing?"
