Date: Tuesday, 26 January 2016

Venue: Renaissance Brussels Hotel, Brussels  |  City: Ixelles

This year’s TACD Multi-stakeholder Forum will once more bring together participants representing civil society, government, legislators and business on both sides of the Atlantic to discuss issues of importance to consumers related to the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP). The event will focus on the precautionary principle, how it is used in the EU and the US, and specifically its implications for the TTIP negotiations in all priority areas of TACD’s work. Sessions are being planned on the subject of precaution in the areas of chemicals and pesticides, food, privacy as well as the digital agenda.

Participants will hear from and engage in active debate with a wide range of the most influential voices in the TTIP negotiations, including EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström and US Federal Trade Commissioner Julie Brill.
