'Nobody knew that healthcare could be so complicated' said US President Donald Trump just one month after his inauguration in January 2017. Well, we perfectly know that and for this reason we would like to dedicate this article to a series of healthcare focused events happening in Brussels in the next week, ranging from patient-centeredness to access to medicines and more.
Young people from all over Europe wish to contribute with volunteer activities to the development of a more inter-connected European civil society and in areas of crisis, where the European presence is needed the most. Yet, the lack of opportunities in solidarity activities is leading to a significant waste of human capital and potential in a variety of fields like education and youth, health, social and labour market integration, shelter and site constructions, and others.

Over 10,000 Europeans participated to the March for Europe and a few thousands more joined at the final event from another march, titled “Our Europe”, at the Coliseum. Participants included groups from 25 cities outside Italy and lots of personalities, both Members of the European Parliament and well known people and politicians (former Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti, Italian Justice Minister Andrea Orlando, Italian journalist Beppe Severgnini, President of the Austrian liberal party Neos Matthias Strolz, Spanish philosopher Daniel Innerarity, President of European Movement France Yves Bertoncini, the Presidents of the European Socialist Party and the European Green Party, as well as the European Parliament's group leaders of the Liberals and Democrats, Socialists & Democrats, Greens and the EPP among many others).
FRAME is a large-scale, collaborative research project funded by the European Commission and conducted by 19 research institutes from around the world. Their research focuses on the contribution of the EU’s internal and external policies to the promotion of human rights worldwide. The FRAME project has kicked off on 1 May 2013 and will end on 30 April 2017.
The FRAME project has produced an impressive and diverse array of research results and policy recommendations. The output comprises comprehensive reports, policy briefs, academic articles, blogs, conferences, workshops, briefings, a MOOC (Massive Online Open Course) etc. All of this accounts for more than 8,000 pages of input and analysis, and close to 100 events across the EU and the world on the theme of the EU and human rights. The website notably offers a browsing function which conveniently allows to search for specific keywords through project reports and therefore collect cutting edge research on specific issues.
