Innovation in the Northern Ireland Justice System

The event will showcase innovation in Northern Ireland's (NI) Justice System and Justice representatives including Peter May, Permanent Secretary, Department of Justice will discuss:- 

Problem Solving Justice; a new approach in Northern Ireland that seeks to address the underlying problems that contribute to criminal behaviour.

Causeway; an innovative data sharing system that underpins the whole justice system.

Multi-Agency Support Hubs; a joint initiative focussed on collaborative problem solving, delivering with consent early intervention with tailored and practical assistance to address vulnerability factors prior to individuals requiring specialist threat, risk and harm interventions. 

Transforming Custody Healthcare; a PSNI Service Change project which is aimed at implementing an evidence based nurse led regional service model for the provision of health assessment and healthcare services to some of the most vulnerable in our society whilst detained in PSNI custody suites in collaboration with healthcare partners. 

NI Prison Service; developing its estate to support and challenge those in custody to change. 

The event will involve short presentaitons with the opportunity for discussion, networking and refreshments.
